Oh man. Let me tell you about this special girl in my life. Our sweet TrūLee Sue Adorabella. Her heart is the size of her entire body! And her passion for life exceeds that of nearly every human I’ve ever met.

Sure, she’s spicy, I’ll give you that. But man oh man. She is literally the sweetest, smartest most considerate thing ever. When she wants to be.

“Daddy, what happened to your finger?”

”I burned it baby.” “Oh no daddy, is that you ouchy finger?”

She then proceeds to hold it and carefully rub it. ”You need a bandaid daddy!”

Her capacity to care for others is astounding.

She is just 4 little tiny years old. But her emotional maturity and ability to sense moods and feelings BLOWS MY MIND.

And she swoops in to comfort when needed. To hold when merited.

We are so blessed by this amazing little lady. She came into the world already experiencing more tragedy than most of us adults have encountered. Her bio mom aka utero leaser, who was only 19 I believe and passed away due to a drug overdose. Breaks my heart. But this girl was birthed on the floor of a trailer with holes through the floor to the outside. Animal feces served as her swaddling blanket. The paramedics that arrived on site were so concerned that they made an emergency decision to remove her from care.

We already had her 2 siblings, Goose almost age 2 at the time and Moose nearly age 1. We got the call that we needed to pick her up at the hospital. Bio mom didn’t even want to see her before we took her home at the fragile age of 3 days. She was so tiny. So precious. So TrūLee.

I cannot imagine my life without her. My drive to be successful in life is bolstered by these kids. All 8 of them.

#DadLife or no life for me.
